PreSchools and Playgroups for Walthamstow

Leytonstone Community Pre-school

Lister Hall, Lister Rd, Leytonstone, London E11 3DS, UK – 020 8988 1019

Both my kids attended Green Man up to the point where they left to go to the local primary school and loved it. Great place, with friendly staff who clearly like kids - and like interacting with them. I particularly liked the fact that they didn't tie me into going every day and that the lunch-club gave me until 1:15pm. Their previous premises had a nice big garden. The current place doesn't have quite such a nice outdoor play-space, but they are clearly working hard to make it better.

A wonderful preschool. This is the first place I left my little boy other than with relatives and I was instantly sure that he would be happy there. The staff enjoy being with the children and my son loves it. The staff have taken a quite shy little boy and helped him to blossom into a confident, opinionated person. There are lots of different activities for the children to do every day and the parents are all very involved too which makes it feel friendly. You can choose how many days your child attends and so start them off slowly if you want to. I can only recommend it.

Excel Day Nursery

62 Hainault Rd, London E11 1EQ, UK – 020 8556 1732

My daughter loves it here, enjoys the food/ garden and day trips. It has a family feeling, staff and owner are very understanding and they take the time to accomodate to each child's wants and needs. They have a great approach to their work, well set routine. This is coming from a mum with serious trust issues that is suing her previous nursery.

Willow Brook Primary School

Church Rd, Leyton, London E10 7BH, UK – 020 8539 1428

I used to be pupil here and I absolutely enjoyed my years here. Just an amazing school. The teachers are very supportive and very helpful. Due to the teachers supports I was able to get all round level 5's in subject apart from maths where I got a level 6.

My Grandaughter goes to this school. I am very impressed with this school. It seems to have both a child centered approach where the individual child is recognised and encouraged to develop without loosing a well thought out and committed attitude to academic learning. I am an experienced and critical Early Years and KS1 teacher and have been really pleased my daughter chose this school. I have chosen Good rather than Very Good for two reasons, partially because I have not worked in the school, but mainly because I do not agree with Ofsted categories and believe that Good means just that.

Roger Ascham Primary School

Adult Education

Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service

97 Queens Rd, Walthamstow, London E17 8QR, UK – 020 8496 2974

I attended a training for Employability within the NHS here. Waltham Forest Adult Learning centres are state of the art new buildings, well equipped, and do a lot of courses which adult-learners can benefit from. It has a warm friendly atmosphere, which was the best thing I liked about this place. And in such an atmosphere, learning is enjoyable. I live in Redbridge, but they welcomed me onto their course (to which I had been sent via the Jobplus). Recently, I have also done Computerised Bookkeeping, Sage levels one and two. The teachers have been friendly and cheerful. They also hold community group meetings for people with disabilities, and those folks create a very joyful feeling, to see them smiling and participating in singing and painting. I think WFALS is a great institution.

It's really easier than a modern day map

The Learning Hub Walthamstow

350 Hoe St, Walthamstow, London E17 9PX, UK – 020 8509 8165

In the roughly 10 years I have been attending the learning hub in Walthamstow, I have exceeded my expectations in my education. This has been apparent by achieving A* and A grades in my GCSE's. The learning hub is now helping me with my A Levels, and I am learning more at this centre that I am at my own school from my A level teachers. I feel confident secure with my exams due to the excellent teaching skills of the learning hub. Additionally I would like to big up Sir Shabaz for his kind professional thoughtful up to date experienced knowledgable attributes. Because of this I can recommend the learning hub to absolutely everyone.

A great place to work, I have been working here for the last 6 years, and have enjoyed it immensely. A fun learning and teaching environment. :D

Kumon Maths and English

Priory Court Community Centre, 11 Priory Court, London, Walthamstow E17 5NB, UK – 01992 623221

Great start for my 4 year old, he started counting up to 100 in two months and learnt his alphabet even though I had put him nursery since he was 18 months. It was kumon that gave him the confidence in his literacy and numeracy. Maisie runs this centre with wonderful staff and looks after the needs off the children and the parents. Highly recommended.

I for one would like to personally recommend the Kumon Higham Hill as a centre for learning and support my neice started not long ago and she has already moved up in her maths she is 5 years old and she is always happy to go to the centre the staff are excellent and the foundation on which they have children learning is above all my expeditions all children learn in there own way and time but it is all about the support offered and dedication from both sides massive thumbs up for this center πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
