This is not my closest Weatherspoon but certainly worth the extra journey. Always a good selection of real ale and proper bar staff. Manager is really good fun. My favourite London pub.
i always come here when i need to stay relax few hours while having a beer. also they have good foods. staff is friendly and supportive.

A well known British traditional pub chain offering food. The food is fast food to an average standard in traditional pub standard. Not a great menu for healthy eaters though. Place your order at the bar and pre-pay. They do now have an app where you can order and pay on your phone from your table. A novel idea if you're a regular to their premises., I hadn't seen that before. Clearly, this chain is aiming to attack the younger element to its offerings.
Can't really go wrong here... local and cheap. Steak Club on a Tuesday means you can get a brilliant priced mixed grill and a beer, my fav!

The Sheep Walk had a lot of history. The old A12 was the shepherd's way out of the City of London and many pubs got their names from that tradition. I would not want to see that forgotten. However, The Birds is making an effort to remember Leytonstone's most famous citizen and I believe put on a range of different nights that reach out to the eclectic mix of London residents near and far, both old and new. Beer is good, costs a little more than perhaps it did before, but they take good care of it.
New chef arrived this summer. Delicious burgers, the dirty fries are so so good and the super salad with sliced pear and a touch of truffle were a taste sensation. What a great edition to Leytonstone high road

Awesome food and great service. Children love coming here. They love watching the chef preparing the food. The staff here are really friendly and so happy to ensure you all have a great meal.
What's not to like about this place? Plenty to choose from on the menu although I would like more fish options and sharing platters are pretty small. There is always a good atmosphere , staff are attentive but not overbearing. It is a place where you know you will have a comfortable experience.

Portions are big but also prices. What makes it shine is taste and balance in it. Really good east European food, same style restaurant like in those countries. What first emerged in my head was if they have some profit, because if you give a try you will stuff yourself and I mean in good way. In London is this in many restaurants for same prices impossible.
Really special place, lithuanian food, beer, drinks in general. Big portions compared to a cheap price. Can do private events in there, nice music, the whole interior design is lovely. Close to all the shops and shopping centre, disable access, however there's no parking right next to the restaurant. There's a road accross ( permit holders) or there's a chargeable parking few minutes walk. Overally extremely happy and would definitely recommend going there!

The decor was pleasant, as was the atmosphere. Our waitress was very professional and friendly. The food was tasty. I had the spaghetti bolognese which wasnt presented in the traditional way. It appeared to be a lighter version - the sauce was not a rich ragu but still tasted nice enough. The pasta was well-cooked. My dining partner reported the ribs were beautifully done. I’d visit again.
Very tasty Peri Peri chicken dish. ...came on time and served by a lovely lady who was polite and charming!

Food was Ok..not bad..two different chicken dishes tasted exactly the same! Not impressed:( Then we had the waiters who couldn't wait to clear our tables and shoo us out. Lost for words!
Nice restaurant with good food and decent service. Set price, order to your heart's content. Good value if you visit with a big appetite.

I go there every week the staff are friendly and the food is great

Massive portions for less than average prices. I can't think of any take away or restaurant that does this. Service is very fast. Food is delicious. No BS type of service - you pay you eat then out of the door. If you eat in you pay first but there is no service charge. There are always customers there. Only complaint I guess is if you eat inside it is rather hot. Not very well ventilated place.
Best restaurant to date that I have been to. I go here every month or so with my sister after visiting the cinema in Walthamstow. All their dishes are great, haven’t had one that is bad yet. Sweet sour chicken is my favourite and my sister always gets beef with bean sauce. (They also do take away but I wouldn’t recommend it you get more food if you eat in for less.) Either way the quality of the food doesn’t change whether it’s take away or eating in. The view isn’t great but the food is delicious.

God, what a frustrating place. You would think the owners would read the endless complaints about delivery/service and sort it, but no. It gets worse if anything. Placing an order is a challenge. Sometimes the phone is off the hook. Frequently it's answered by staff who struggle bigtime with English. I've given up with deliveries - you're far better collecting. Limited range of starters, and forget the onion bhaji and especially the squid - which are incredibly oily and unpleasant by the time they reach you. Samosas are great, however. So why 4 stars? Because everything else is fab. Curries are pungent and flavoursome. Sides fresh tasting. Better than anything in the area by a mile. So, I keep going back almost weekly, despite it being very pricey. Final warning: if you want raita, you have to order (and pay) for it. It's not complimentary, like every other Indian I've ever encountered. Very mean.
Nice Indian takeaway located near Snaresbrook underground station. A bit overpriced but the quality of the food is perfect. Very clean from inside. They deliver food. I had the chicken tikka and it was simply yummy and not very spicy. I had the roti bread and it was fresh too.

Cramped as small space and busy as it's popular with the locals.. Fast service. We all enjoyed our food. There were 8 of us so we sampled variety of the dishes. Freshly cooked tasty food. Will definitely go again. Reasonable price.
Really great - good food, friendly service and nice interior.

Probably my favorite restaurant in the area. The lamb dosa is amazing, as is the king fish mappas, lemon rice and parotas. Clean, friendly and good value for money.
Went there on a Saturday night. It's a small but friendly curry house which serves decent and interesting food. The south Indian style means you'll well-placed to try different things from a normal curry house, which is nice. They have few staff, so it took a while for our food to come, but overall it was a good experience.

This has to be one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. Very friendly staff, great atmospheres, and amazing food. I am gluten free which they even helped with. Just need to let them know when you book. Loved it can't wait to go back.
Small Italian but good food
98-106 High Rd, London E18 2QH, UK – 020 8559 0192
They have amazing food. You can not make a mistake by going there. The only thing that i didn't like was the thing that the waitress didn't told me that the food i order is very spice as i told her to recommend me something and i don't like spice. But everything else was perfect.
Very good service. A shame on behaviour of some people who never appreciate. Abusive behaviour over one £10 pasta, if you are broke stay and cook at home. I feel for the staff.

Very good Italian fare. Enjoyed the pasta dish and varied menu.
Great place. Always good food, nice staff fair prices

Got the seafood platter for starters which was lovely..it came with four different dips which were all nice. Ordered the Thai green curry with chicken which was mediocre...had a nice spice to it but some of the veg was too tough. Waiters could have been abit more attentive considering it wasn't that busy..it took a while to get their attention. Service charge should not be mandatory as the service was nothing to shout about.
Had lunch with my friend, restaurant was pretty empty. Food was great; I had prawns with chilli and sticky rice, my friend had lamb with chilli and coconut rice. Waiter and manager were very helpful; we were in a rush so they brought us a takeaway carton and bag for our leftovers. We were chatting with the manager Sanjay, who had only been there a week. Will definitely be going back.

What an amazing little restaurant. Went there for my 40th and absolutely loved it. All of the food was great and the staff very kind and welcoming. Will definitely be back for seconds. They even gave my family slices of cake to end the night and added to the great memories created on that day.
It was a good find for a budget eat. Serves unpretentious northern Chinese food. Freshly made pulled noodles served with shredded beef curry was heavenly.

Excelent food staff very helpfull
Great food, great service, great value for money. I have been going here on average once a month for at least 12 years and have never been disappointed. Aloo chat for starter and the crab curry for main course particularly recommended but everything on the menu is good

Great spot for a bit of West Indian culture! Attended on the last Friday of the month for a lime with some friends. Lots of soca music played and there was even some Roti on sale. One of the guest DJ was Martin Jay!
Great place best selection of carribean rum an prices are the best not to mention the most amazing roti on sale there
