Had a fantastic stay here. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Even the manager was wiping down tables at breakfast working as part of the team. Special mention to Michelle who was super friendly. Also a really good value hotel, an ideal base for a stay in London
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. It's perfectly located for our needs. Easy to drive to and a 30 second walk to the train/subway station. However parking is pretty much non existent, you won't find a space between 8am - 6pm.

The funny thing is, I've never even been there! I was merely driving in the vicinity of this hotel when Google insisted that I write a review so I am happy to oblige! Well where to start? It's a hotel. A solid building neither made of straw or sticks. It has a number of rooms for which one pays a fee to stay overnight. I guess it probably serves breakfast/ dinner (although can't confirm). What I am able to confirm is that it overlooks one of the great attractions of the A406 - The Crooked Billet Sainsbury's in which there are all manner of shopping opportunities. If you are do considering staying here I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
rooms are cold in winter. The double glazing is the cheapest possible. Traffic noises and people talking are very clear in the rooms. But the hotel is actually very pleasant

Very happy with out stay here. All staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Room was clean and warm .breakfast staff went out their way to help my partner when i was not there to help her ( she uses a walking stick ) the lady who cleaned and tidied our room was great and the reception staff friendly and helpful. its a nice touch that the hotel provide both bed and bowls for dog owners like ourselves at no extra charge . There was no problems with Internet speed or connectivity. Thank you for our enjoyable stay
Great location for Walthamstow Village. Rooms very comfortable and reasonably equipped. I especially liked the 'handy' mobile information device. The only blemish on this review would be with the noisy air conditioning unit. Really annoying at night. Apart from this, a very pleasant stay.

The Cuckfield is a lively local. It has a narrow but rather nice menu. It gets changed regularly and there are some nice food combinations. The wine selection is also good. Seating in the conservatory us pleasant and in the summer the beer garden is not to be missed

Very nice and well maintained pub. Food is good quality and good value. Interior decor is impressive and furniture is comfortable. The outside beer garden has a table football. Shows the sport, has good deals on drinks and cocktails. Monday to Friday its 3 drinks for £10. Bar staff are very friendly as well.
Date night and The Royal Oak the last minute venue of choice, I didn't realise that there was a booking system but we were seated happily and quickly, our waitress was very accommodating given that we just walked in off the street. It is under new management, has been I understood for three years and looks great inside. The ambience is that of a West End eatery, the hustle and bustle was lively and happy, our waitress Kelly was very attentive and polite. Unfortunately they still do not sell alcohol free wine which would have gone with our meal much better than the alcohol free lagers we had to have if we didn't want regular soft drinks.,which we didn't. We both had the Royal Beef Pie on which the pastry case was very tough but the beef and gravy was delicious, I opted for chips instead of mash, they were lovely as were the sugar snap peas. My desert was a chocolate fondant which unfortunately was a little burnt on the bottom, the ice cream and strawberry ju were lovely. My partner had sticky toffee pudding and said it was really good. All in all it was a lovely evening out and reasonably priced, we'll be going again.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
