Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Thank you Station Cycles for my new bike! Service was excellent, and they took the time to find the right bike for my needs. Large selection, all reasonably priced too. Definitely recommend.

Always incredibly helpful and got a great dawes road bike (second hand) that has been faultless since buying! Would thoroughly recommend and great to help local businesses out in Walthamstow!

Mamachari Walthamstow

163 Forest Rd, Walthamstow, London E17 6HE, UK – 020 8531 2585

I've been using Mamachari in Walthamstow for the past year and would highly recommend using this place to anyone! They offer a wide range of well-priced services and have always returned my bike in perfect condition with a quick turnaround. The staff provide excellent advice on when to buy or repair bike parts and even give handy tips on general bike upkeep to prevent you from wasting time and money on otherwise avoidable servicing. They'll also keep you in the loop when your bike's being serviced (contact you if something needs replacing / let you know when the bike is ready etc.) so there's no waiting around or unexpected costs when you go to pick up! A great example of why you should use your local bike shop!

Super helpful, good value and not pretentious. These guys know what they are doing with bikes. The shop is well organised, clean and welcoming with bike parking outside. I trust them with all of my repair and servicing needs. They don't try to rip you off. They do what is required to keep you safe and your bike in good nick. I would not take my bike anywhere else in London.
